As Robert Humber notes, we have reached the age where our most significant news seems to concern our offspring. In that light, he is pleased to say that his oldest son, Christopher, is following an academic path that took him through the U. of Chicago and Harvard law school, and is now practicing law at Sidley & Austin in Chicago. His younger son, David, a true West Coast surfer, graduated from UC-San Diego and is now in his third year of medical school at Georgetown. Despite the many AG requests, but his largest check still goes to Princeton.
Bob Berkowitz and spouse have deposited their children at their respective colleges. Charles is a sophomore at Bard College in NYC, and Allison is a freshperson at Boston U. Bob is now pres. of Kowa Research Institute in San Jose. The company inlicenses pharmaceutical compounds for its affiliate company in Japan.
Ted Weiss has two children in college. David is a junior at the U. of Richmond, majoring in international studies, and Elizabeth is a sophomore at TCU planning on a major in fashion merchandising. The other two kids, John (17) and Jim (14) are still at home. Ted has returned to the world of independent law practice by opening the Weiss Law Firm in affiliation with a small litigation firm. He specializes in helping business people to resolve disputes.
Two pieces of good news from Joel Epstein. He joined American Intl. Group in February as chairman of AIG Consumer Finance, Inc., and moved to Southport, Conn., in August. The other good news is that his son Mike will only be at Brand X in Cambridge through June.
At the request of Tom Tulenko, my WTO observation from Seattle: a demonstrator asked me if I was Ralph Nader.
