Married 30 years. Medical practice 20 years. Bar Mitzvah 40 years. Two kids out of higher education, two on their way. A lot of gray, but more strands than my father at 53. All in all, reasonable stability. Jay Berman (winner of the succinctness award).
After 25 years with various engineering arms of Schlumberger, Jeff Aron has retired and started Aron Consulting, dedicated to acoustic engineering, transducers, and software. Still based in Houston, but Jeff hopes to find a part-time place in the mountains of Colorado.
Peter Turchi was selected as a fellow of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers and received its Erwin Marx Award for pulsed electrical power technology. He left his position as professor of aerospace engineering at Ohio State and moved to the Los Alamos Natl. Laboratory in New Mexico.
Last June, Ron Grossman and spouse began an 11-month trip to Australia. He is taking time off from his medical practice to participate in a program that hires doctors to serve in rural areas throughout Australia. After his first four months, Ron reports watching whales, snorkeling in the Great Barrier Reef, driving a jeep through the outback to visit ranchers, and observing numerous kangaroos. Although busy working, Ron has enjoyed meeting the doctors, pharmacists, and patients in each Australian town through which he traveled.
Jon Hughes moved to Pasadena in September, where spouse Emalyn is attending mime school at MIMEistry International for eight months. Since she received her PHT (Putting Hubby Through) while at Princeton, Jon says its his turn. Emalyn isnt talking.
35 years ago: Sophomores moved into varsity basketball, hockey, squash, fencing, and wrestling.
