Notwithstanding our advancing years, interesting career moves abound. Madrid resident and former Delta-801 compatriot Chris Cooke has a new activity. He is the importer and Spanish distributor of a line of high-tech, paraffin-based lubricants, under the trade name of Omega, from Hong Kong company, Magna Industrial. Wife Patricia and their three kids (15, 13, and 7) are all doing well.
Ritchie Geisel has had a busy first year in Southern California as pres. of the Crippled Childrens Society. Not only has he relocated the headquarters from Hollywood to Pasadena and restructured the board, but he is changing its name to AbilityFirst to reflect the organizations focus on what people living with disabilities can do to develop their abilities to their fullest potential. He would welcome everyones support of its work.
Bob Blanchard retired from Proctor & Gamble this November after 32 years with the company. He has started a new consulting firm, Strategic & Marketing Services, to specialize in strategy development, branding, and globalization.
Mike Wyatt moved his busy venture capital law practice to Hogan and Hartson in DC last July. Terry Slocum has embarked on a new career in the field of planned giving, estate design, and charitable tax planning in support of Christian ministries as v.p. for strategic development at PhilanthroCorp in Colorado and California.
Joann and Phil Burstein have relocated to Philadelphia, where Phil is now working for SmithKline Beecham in R&D. After 30 years at one firm, Mark Biderman left Oppenheimer & Co., and is having a great time as CFO of National Financial Partners, a financial services startup.
