The NYC Class dinner is set for Apr. 27, at the Princeton Club. Rick Wright 64, of the Bradley campaign, will speak on presidential campaign finance.
Thanks to Steve Oxman our class dinner at Alumni Day was a great success. The attendees included: Steve and sons Matthew 01 and Stephen 95; Greg Hickok and daughter Jessica 02; Steve Parker, son Jeremiah 03 and wife Kathleen; Dag Ryen and son Shep 01; Searle Field and daughter Laura 00; Bill Joness son Drew 0l; Tom Tulenko; Ted Todd and his wife Laura; John Fisher and guest Sue Peters; Roy Dix; Fred Waite, wife Sherrian Knight and daughter Angharad 04; and Dick Prentke and daughter Katie 03.
Dag reported that Bill Black, when not helping run the family construction business in Paducah, continues to pursue a lifelong interest in lepidopterology. Dag enjoyed a long evening with Bill last fall, trudging through the remote canebrakes of extreme Western Kentucky hoping their lighted mining helmets would alert any trigger-happy deer hunters to inspect light traps. Among Bills catch last Fall were specimens of previously undescribed moth species of the papupema order. Bill is working with academics who will publish the discoveries later this year.
Susan and John Kleins son, Tom, will join sister Jennie 01 at Princeton next year. Richard Abts son, Steven, will also be a member of the Class of 04. His older sisters approve, notwithstanding their affiliations (Allison: GW 97, Jaimie: Lehigh 00, and Jennifer: Penn 03).
Larry Warter had a sensational time on the Princeton Alumni College trip to South Africa in August. Son Brian 95 continues with Anderson Consulting and Brians wife, Liz Hill Warter 96, graduates this May from Boston College with a masters in psychology.
35 years ago: Further evidence that there is nothing new under the sun. Spring brought skateboarding to Patton Beach and other locales. (Grab your board and go sidewalk surfing with me.)
