Our class letter recently, and mistakenly, reported that Van Pells daughter, Anna Elaina, received early admission to Princeton. Van assures us that Anna (age three, pictured), who was the youngest direct offspring at our 30th reunion, has not raised the bar for everyone else. She entered Lake Geneva Montessori School this fall and looks forward to participating in the P-rade at our 35th and applying to the Class of 18.
John Alexanders daughter, Louisa, is a member of the Class of 03.
Mike Mudrey writes that he is busy at the Wisconsin Geological Survey, U. of Wisconsin, and actively pursuing geologic mapping environmental hydrogeochemistry (arsenic and radionuclies), and organizing and leading various forms of folk dance. Mike says that grandchild number three is on the way, while his oldest grandchild, Phoebe (8), has finished the Harry Potter books, and looks like a good candidate for PU 14, with her sister right behind.
Former roommates Nick Kourides and Peter Cooper recently got together in Tokyo when Nick was in the Far East on a business trip for American Express. Peter is in his 10th year as headmaster of the American School in Japan. He also chairs the Alumni Schools Committee for Japan.
Robert Humber writes, Im living the 24-seven formula of the 1990s and realizing the same rewards of the eight-to-five of the 1970s. Have I just slowed down?
