Deciding to get a jump start on our 35th, an enthusiastic group of Baltimore/Washington classmates met recently for dinner at the home of Nan and Bill Paternotte. In attendance were Carl Widell and wife Pam, Lele and Lanny Springs, Andy and Jack Laporte, Gardiner Pearson, Stewart Marr, Ellen and Peter Safir, Mike Wyatt, Tom Tulenko, and Laura and Joe Wood. The elegant meal was created by Bill and Nans son, Christopher, who is a chef and caterer in New York. With a good base in place, we hope to make a regional dinner like this a more regular event.
Speaking of Mike Wyatt, he has recently joined the DC law firm of Hogan & Hartson. Ever the hard worker, Mike says he is working too many hours but enjoying it. But then I always did.
The NY Times ran an interesting piece in March on Pres. Bushs e-mail list, which he reluctantly had to discontinue upon joining the White House system. Included in this select list of Texans was Grant Thomas, who is executive director of Peer Assistance Network of America.
David Paul retired from Lockheed after 26 years. He retired from the USAF after 35 years and is now teaching at CSU Hayward in the MBA program and helping entrepreneurs find funding.
The class has a memorial in this issue.
