About 30 enthusiastic 67ers joined 66 at Reunions. Included in our advance contingent for next years 35th were Tom Amato, next years reunion chair, along with Tim and Tom Tulenko, who have lots of great ideas for our big event, Allen Adler, Tad Howard, John Klein, Jay Higgins, Charlie Parl, Bob Lem, Bob Chilstrom, and many others whom I will mention in a later column. After the P-rade the class gathered for cocktails at Prospect House.
Our class continues to generate new Princetonians with the following classmates having children accepted: Jack LaPorte, son Tim; Mike Moore, daughter Margaret; Bob Grant, son Ryan; David Perlman, daughter Laura; and Gary Walters, son Nicholas. Congratulations to all of you.
Chuck Braxton writes that he spent the last year starting a new business delivering financial and information services to distributed power providers, focusing in the Northeast and upper Midwest. Chucks wife, Maggie, has started selling real estate in the New Hampshire lakes region, and daughter Brie is an 11th grader at Oakridge Military Academy in North Carolina.
Rich Hutchin started a company, Optics Physics Co., in Calabasas, Calif., in 1997. The company is now supporting Boeing, TRW, and the Air Force in advanced technology.
On Dec. 30, 2000, Ken Schwartz married the former Maureen McGowan and gained two grandchildren in the bargain. His children, Lisa (26) and Adam (23), are a lawyer and graphic designer, respectively.
It is with great sadness that I report the death of Arthur Chick Sherrer Jr. on May 24, 2001, at his home in Ponte Vedre Beach, Fla. The Rev. Dr. Bruce McLucas officiated at the service.
