Shown here are Lanny Springs and Jack Laporte proudly holding the winners trophies from the recent Maryland Club annual squash tournaments. Jack was the winner of the 50 and over softball tournament and Lanny the winner of the 50 and over hardball tournament. Jack and Lanny live across the street from each other, and continue to seek out every opportunity to compete on the golf course, tennis court, and in any other venue. Lanny and Leles twin boys are thriving 6th graders in Baltimore and future possible members of the Class of 2012.
Chaired by Roger Liddell, the annual class dinner in NYC was a huge success. Forty classmates and spouses gathered at Frances and Allen Adlers apartment for cocktails and then went on to a wonderful dinner at Sette Mezzo. Also attending the dinner were Des Barry, Mark Biderman, Louise and Richard Blumenthal, Arthur Bowen, Ric Bremer, Buena and Bob Chilstrom, Ellen Snibbe-Baker and Robert Dix, Searle Field, Sue and John Fisher, Phil Handy, Jay Higgins, Sara and Sam Isaly, Andie and John Laporte, Grace and Kenneth Logan, Charlie Parl, Kathy and Reed Simmons, Eileen and Richard Sorota, Corinne Berezuk and Michael Stieber, Julia McBride-Thomas and Walter Thomas, and Judy and John Wetzel.
Jay Berman reports that his last child is to start college in July and his first child was married in June. His 10-man group is actually flying. Jay says, So, we age gracefully.
