Welcome to the West Coast edition of PAW. Since I am actually writing this from Sarasota Springs, delivering younger daughter, Liz (pictured), to Skidmore, it seemed appropriate to focus on offspring and, yes, rampant grandparenthood among the more progeny-precocious.
Collin Webers son, Nicholas 94, and daughter-in-law, Robyn 94, already parents of twin girls, had a son in June while stationed in Hong Kong with Goldman Sachs. Middle son Scott (Georgetown 97) and wife Cathy (Duke 97) have a daughter in Geneva, Switzerland, where Scott works for the UN. Eric (Vanderbilt 01) is engaged to fellow Vanderbilter Annie and has begun philosophy grad school at Ohio U. Quadra-gramps Dominique and Collin are busy and well in Atlanta, where Collin is a distinguished surgeon and researcher at Emory.
Mark Heinemann is finally a grandfather, thanks to Sarah Kuo (Class of 2024), daughter of Laura Heinemann Kuo 96 and Dr. Tim Kuo 96. (See photo in 96 notes!) Despite grandparenthood, Mark is still staying overly busy with his software company.
Judy and Richard Davidson are thriving in Orlando, where he practices corporate and securities law, and the couple has taken up sailboat racing and traveling. Their youngest son, Scott (Harvard 95), was scheduled to make them grandparents in May.
Bill Black, unable to attend the 35th because of the wedding of son Will 96 promised an appearance in 2007 but nothing about grandchildren.
To classmate grandfathers, present or soon-to-be, a happy WOWS dedication of that Beach Boys classic, When I Grow Up (To Be a Man.).
