That good-looking chanteur with the killer smile peering out from his album cover(!) is our own Bob Mayer, dressed to knock em dead in Vegas. Bob has just released his debut CD called Just Good Songs, Vol. 1 with a little assist from songwriter/singer Deborah Hurwitz 89, who uses the nom de plume Deborah Marlowe. On Bobs website, www.justgoodsongs.com, you can read and hear how this concept sprung from Bobs belief that in music we can celebrate relationships and love, family, and friends, the pleasures, joys, and challenges of everyday life.
Continuing our musical frisson, Roger Bates, Dave Robinson, and Steve Parker attended a mini-reunion of Nassoons from the class years 1965-72 hosted by Martha and Gerry Yukevich 68 on Marthas Vineyard. Roger writes, The singing was terrific, belying the advancing age and physical deterioration of the participants. Jane and Jim Edmondson are being deluged with grandbabies: Our three sons married within 13 months of one another and all three couples announced family expansion plans at the same time. Ian arrived first to Sylvie and Mark; then Megan to Alissa and Ben; and finally Kelly and Jeff have just welcomed into the world twins Emma and Isabel. Amazing and wonderful.
Alumni Day is Feb. 21 and all classmates and spouses are invited to Prospect at 6:30 p.m. for the cocktails/dinner honoring legacy undergraduates. Thanks again this year to coordinator Fred Waite. If you are thinking of coming, contact Fred at 202-828-5087 or fpwaite@vssp.com.
The class has memorials in this issue.
