After 28 years at Bunge North America, Inc., John Klein (pictured) resigned last year as president and CEO, but stayed on as chairman. On Sept. 1, he consummated his plan to work in education when he became the new executive vice chancellor for administration at Washington U. in St. Louis.
The university is delighted. The chancellor remarked that Johns long and successful tenure as the top corporate officer at Bunge brings extraordinary experience and leadership skills to help us continue the upward trajectory of the university.
Prior to his 19 years as president and CEO, John had a variety of international assignments with Bunge in Belgium, Holland, the United Kingdom, Brazil, Argentina, and NYC. He moved Bunges corporate headquarters to St. Louis in 1990.
John will be the universitys chief administrative officer, with responsibility for finance and administration, administrative information technology, facilities, human resources, and other administrative units. The universitys budget exceeds $1.5 billion and it has more than 11,000 employees.
Google news: Mark Biderman has been executive vice president and CFO at National Financial Partners in NYC since 1999. The company distributes financial services products to high-net-worth individuals and families, as well as small to midsized businesses.
