OK, this is the last Red Sox and Larry Lucchino photo of the year, but I couldnt resist passing on this photo taken by daughter Liz Prentke at the celebration.
Jaimie, daughter of Richard Abt, recently married her fellow Lehigh grad Kevin Shmelzer (with Mark Biderman attending.)
Peter Cooper is leaving Tokyo after 12 years as headmaster of the American School in Japan. Next stop is Rio de Janeiro, where he will be headmaster of the American School there. In earlier lives he worked there, as did Allen Adler, Ned Atwater, and George Diehr.
Charley Friedman is a grandfather. Sam was born early this year to Charleys son, Judah 97, and wife Darci. His uncle is Adam 01.
N. Convers Wyeth reports that a second grandson, Ethan Hambrecht, arrived this year.
Jamie Spencer 66 wanted us to know that Andy Miracle had a massive cerebral hemorrhage July 15. Andys wife, Tina, confirmed that Andy was in a coma for about six weeks, then spent another six weeks in neuro rehab. Andy and Tina have relocated to Austin to be closer to their son, Jed, and his wife, Virginia Welford. Andy is making good progress and is expected to make a great recovery. Although Andy is a pretty private person, I have confirmed that he would appreciate a little support and encouragement from his friends from the class.
The class has a memorial in this issue.
