On the where-does-he-get-that-energy front, Mark Fromm is back in banking at LaSalle Bank in Chicago after six years as a stay-at-home dad. He has two daughters, ages 4 and 6, to go with his two sons, ages 23 and 26. Life, he reports, is good.
Allison Harding, niece of Dean Wanderer, is an incoming Princeton frosh this year.
Last year was an exciting one for Bob Lem. His daughter, Melissa, was married in August, and classmates Bob Chilstrom and Virgil Cummins were in attendance.
Jan Bucks son, Ian 99, passed his orals and received his PhD from Stanford in computer science. Ian and his wife, Katie 99, live in San Jose, Calif.
Jonathan Dyer is one of our newest grandfathers. George Alexander Mesires was born to his daughter March 25, 2004.
On this other side of the spectrum, is this a class record? Corky and John Lavieri are greatly enjoying this time of their lives. Their seven children have given them 15 grandchildren so far. While John has not joined the 67 ranks of the retired, he finds plenty of time to spend with his children and grandchildren.
We learned that Bob Losey died in January. We are in the process of creating a memorial for PAW, and thought a summary of the process Lan Springs and I follow for memorials may be germane. We learn of classmates deaths in many ways, sometimes long after the occurrence, but usually through family, classmates, or the University. We draft a memorial based upon information known to us, and then send the draft to roommates and family for their personalizing additions and corrections. Only after we have all the input we reasonably can obtain do we forward it to PAW for publication.
