Bill Kiefer (left) and Wayne Glass 68 are shown at the U-Store stop of the sentimental tour they conducted for Bills son Wilkie (right). Thanks to Melinda Kiefer, we also know that Bill has been St. Louis Schools Committee chair for six years. Coincidentally, George Bassett reports a great evening and early morning singing with the same W. Glass 68 (he seems to get around), as well as Kendall Blake and others, at the Footnotes 40th anniversary celebration at Reunions.
Thanks to alert reader Jim White 63, the location of last springs Mat Miyamoto photo has been identified as Mats vineyard, inland from St. Tropez. Jim observes that Mat is having a wonderful time overseeing an absolutely marvelous place in addition to running Miyamoto Kogyosho, but it seems to me that the commute is problematic.
Roy Dix also appears to be reading the column. In a recent epistle from Lawrenceville, N.J., he considers that the news of his remaining in London is, well, dated. In fact, he returned last spring to investment banking in NYC at Goodrich Capital Intl. (one block from the Princeton Club) after 25 years abroad. Grasping the time-lag associated with this endeavor, he wisely suggested I relay that he looks forward to seeing classmates at the Yale game in November. Prez Allen Adler is, of course, planning another stellar postgame event.
AG results are in, and Bob Grant has led the class to a remarkable 63.6% participation rate. Only three classes our junior exceeded that rate (72, 96, and 98).
Thirty-five years ago, we were actual sophomores whose place on the food chain was graphically illustrated by our dominating defeat of the pismires of 68. (Dont know role of Wayne Glass 68.)
