The photo of Peter the Great, with Peter (the former scribe) Turchi dwarfed in the foreground, was taken during Peters visit to St. Petersburg in May of this year. Peter (the scribe) writes, This was my sixth trip to Russia over 19 years, but my first since the collapse of the Soviet Union. I was over to negotiate a joint research program on electric gun technology. (How times really change!) Peter has been active with the leadership council of the engineering school, and urges all our engineering alumni (even those who havent touched a slide rule in 25 years) to check back with their departments in preparation for Princetons 250th anniversary festivities.
Chris Cooke is the proud father of Diego Cooke, born in August of 1992. Concerned about how he is going to pay college tuitions for his three children, Chris, now known as Mr. Clean, is opening a chain of one-hour-service dry cleaning shops in Spain, and he is currently studying the possibility of setting up a franchise network for the same in the United States.
Charley Friedman writes that his son, Judah, will be in the Princeton Class of 1997.
The class has a memorial in this issue.
