Other Years

Pictured are the Hummer boys, Ian (2½), Alex (4½) and Ed (48½). The photograph was sent in by brother John Hummer ’70. Laird Carlson moved to Peak’s Island, Maine, “where I am building instruments (violins, violas, cellos, gambas) and doing stain glass and sailing my Flying Scot in Casco Bay.”

Ted Pisciotta reports that he is working in Philadelphia as a real-estate appraiser.

Are we that old yet? Thomas Porter III writes that his second grandchild was born Dec. 12, 1992, Robert J. White. Robert is the first male in the Porter family since Thomas himself.

It’s hard keeping up with our class agent, Mike Wyatt, who now reports he has joined the law firm of Proskauer, Rose, Goetz and Mendelsohn in NYC as special counsel in the Washington, D.C., office.

Rich Plumridge, managing partner of Brobeck, Hall and Door, Intl., reports that this international joint venture continues to grow, with offices in London and Prague. Rich and Kim visited the Prague office this past summer.

John Johnson writes that he is living in Lafayette, Calif., and has been married for 15 years to Laurie. They have two kids, Coop (8) and Hilary (4). John is working in the West for Spears, Benzak, Salomon and Farrell (Bill Spears ’60 and Vince Farrell ’69), money managers based in NYC.
