I seem to have a large pile of births, marriages, and alumni sons and daughters at Princeton, so here goes: Roger Philipss son, Matt, entered the Class of 97. Roger and wife Jeanette are off to England for a year, with Roger as international manager for the software firm Viasoft.
Dave Buchanan writes from Santa Barbara that his daughter, Kelly, started at Princeton this fall and she just discovered rain.
Other 67 offspring in the Class of 97 are Luke McDowell, son of Charles S., and Justin Pope, son of Dean. I am happy to say that our class is still turning out future as well as current Princetonians. Holly and Doug Hunt are the proud parents of twins Katherine and Thomas, born on Dec. 5, 1992. Joe Padula, who is finishing his tenure as chief of staff, Medical Center of Ocean County, N.J., had a son, Joseph Anthony, on June 22, 1993. And Kent Hughes (belatedly) reports that his wife, Elaine, gave birth to Charles Naddaff Hughes on Jan. 13, 1992, in Boston.
In the romance and bliss department, Jonathan Dyer married Gina Ann Abrevaya in the Princeton Chapel on Apr. 24, 1993. Officiating was the Rev. Frank Strasburger, who recently returned from an around-the-world sabbatical with Carrie and his three children. Franks stops included extended stays in South Africa and Fiji, and focused on race relations and multicultural issues.
Dave Paul writes that his daughter, Alison, is engaged to Timothy Matthew Nicholas, with a wedding date of Dec. 18 at Moffet Field. Dave writes, As a longtime AFROTCer, presently a Lieutenant Colonel, I send hearty congratulations to my Navy ROTC friends. There are no Air Force generals that I know of from our small corps, but Id like to hear from our other Air Forcers.
