Why is it that off-year reunions get the nice weather? Among the many classmates who took advantage of the Class of 69s hospitality and gathered for a wonderful dinner and cocktails at Carrie and Frank Strasburgers were: Richard Abt, Nick Adamson, Allen Adler, Greg Arnold, Leonard Averill, Bloxy Baker, John Bitner, Kendall Blake, Jan Buck, Bob Casey, Greg Conover, Virgil Cummins, John Davis, Terence Dellecker, Jonathan Dyer, Gus Escher, Gene Estes, John Fisher, Ritchie Geisel, Jack Gelman, Gerry Hicks, Bob Hills, Peter Holzer, Ed Hummer, Doug Hunt, Warren Kelemen, Doug Mackie, Bob Mayer, Charlie Parl, Karl Pettit, Philip Stowell, Frank Strasburger, Ted Todd, Tim Tulenko, Collin Weber, and Kendall Wilson. Allens and Franks kids proudly helped carry our 67 banner in the P-rade. Special thanks go to Bob Mayer, who did a great job as reunion chairman.
Amidst the general bad news that Apr. 15 brought to taxpayers this year was the good news to 12 67ers whose sons or daughters received notice of admission to PU Bob Blanchard (daughter Kelly), Alan Blinder (William), Philip Burstein (Allison), Hayward Gibson (Sheri-Lynn), Steve Grossman (David), Greg Hickok (Helen), Donald Maletz (Elizabeth), Charlie McMillan (son Jonathan), Steve Oxman (Gavin), Timothy Walsh (Kathleen), Lawrence Warter (David), and Frank Wiley (Katherine). Congratulations to all these sons and daughters.
Double congratulations to Professor Alan Blinder, who has been appointed by President Clinton to be vice-chairman of the Federal Reserve Board and will move from his current position on the Council of Economic Advisors.
Have a good summer everyone, and I look forward to hearing from all of you in time for fall issues.
