Our class cocktail party was a rousing success: good weather, good food, great game. Among those joining Class President Allen Adler and host Frank Strasburger were: Gus Escher, John Fisher, Rich Geisel, Dave Harrison, Pete Holzer, Bill King, Roger Liddell, Pepper Pettit, Dick Prentke, Peter Safir, Will Sherk, Rich Sorota, Phil Stowell, Jan Twardowski, Gary Walters, and Mike Wyatt, along with wives and many children of all ages.
John Porter writes, After one year with General Atomics Aeronautical Systems as a program manager, I realized that 5 months out of 12 were spent in Turkey, managing a contract for unmanned air vehicles. Home now for a few months and happy to be here!
Dave Foster is in the fourth of a 14-month sabbatical from Milton Academy. His drive across country for the first time was an education in itself. He is now dividing his time between a mountainside cabin retreat in Inverness, Calif., and San Francisco, reading, writing, and exploring. Daves planned itinerary for his remaining time features a plethora of 67 hot spots; Albuquerque with Dayton Voorhees, Atlanta with Todd Evans, a visit in Denver with Roger Lichty, and then at least a month with Bob Spigel in New Zealand.
Frederic Todd notes that son Ashton (potential Class of 2005) insists that Harvard is not a viable option for undergraduate studies.
After several years on leave from Rutgers, on July 2nd, Peter Sandman resigned his tenure to pursue private consulting for corporations and government agencies on risk communication, my stock in trade . . . but a little alarming knowing the telephone has to keep ringing or else. Thats the risk of failure to communicate.
