SAVE THE DATE: Our class dinner is scheduled for Mar. 9 at the Princeton Club in N.Y.C. Roger Liddell has once again planned a fabulous evening featuring Gary Walters, PUs new athletic director. For reservations, call 800-221-2598 or 212-269-7894.
The photo shows your humble scribe, Jack Laporte, Pepper Pettit, and Allen Adler after the victorious Harvard game this fall.
Charlie McMillan writes that he is still playing hockey in an old-timers league in Needham, Mass. His oldest son, Jonathan, was accepted at Princeton, but Egads! He enrolled at Cornell. Charlie reports that he recently saw Norm Estin for the 2nd time in 25 years; hes doctoring in Hawaii, specializing in injured scuba divettes.
Julian Berman reports that hes got two children in college: Ben, at Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, and Alex, at the Univ. of Florida. Other children are Sara (13) and Mark (nearly 11). Julian was recently elected to fellowship in the American College of Physicians.
Jon Hughes writes that he moved to Jenks, America (just outside Tulsa) in Oct. 1993. Jon is still freelancing, but now he does it exclusively from home via fax, modem, FedEx, and other high-tech gadgetry. Joshua (6½) has announced that he will play for the Dallas Cowboys. Im ambivalent about that as a Giants fan. Emalyn says Absolutely not! But thats a mother speaking.
The class has a memorial in this issue.
