Bill Black writes that he and Nancy were delighted in late January when the Nassoons, including son Will 96, gave nine performances in three days in and around Paducah, Ky. In their final performance, the Nassoons surprised the audience by altering the lyrics of Duke of Dubuque to Duke of Paduke. After a standing ovation, the city surprised the Nassoons by officially bestowing on each Nassoon the traditional title of honor, Duke of Paducah. Bill enclosed the above photo of the Nassoons with Chief Paduke, for whom Gen. William Clark named Paducah.
