Laird Carlson recently bought a house in the four corners of Colorado. Laird reports that he has built a barn and bought a horse, so he and Claudia can ride in the 2 million-acre Nail Forest adjoining their land. He has also built a studio into the barn for instrument making (violins, violas, cellos) and for Claudias painting.
David Wright writes that as of Feb. 28, he completed work with Africare, administering a natural resource-management project in the drought-prone eastern region of Niger. Dave and former roommate Chester Seabury, then planned to do a little touring of the region (Benin, Niger, and Morocco), before returning to the U.S.
Frederick A. D. Todd recently moved into a new residence built in 1924 and owned only by the Chas. Erdman 19 family for 70 years. Todd hopes he can do the same.
Tom Houston also recently moved back to Sacramento, where he is practicing law and political consulting.
Searle Field has just finished a stint in politics as Gov. Lowell Weickers chief of staff and is now chief of staff to the Tribal Council of the Mashantucket Pequots, owners of the worlds highest-grossing casino! Searles specific responsibilities are economic development and diversification.
Tom Porters family continues to grow, now consisting of one granddaughter, two grandsons, and one grandchild on the way. Tom was recently promoted to v.p. and general manager of A.T.&T. in L.A.
