A full-page photo of Wolfgang Demisch recently appeared in Space News, along with a quote endorsing the publication. Peter Turchi writes that Wolfgang obviously has risen to the level of providing celebrity endorsements in the aerospace industry, which is not bad for a former chemistry major.
William Floyd was recently promoted to president and director of compliance at Ocean Park Research, a national bank mystery shopping firm, employing licensed stock/bond brokers and compliance officers providing quality assurance to financial institutions.
Rick Rosenthal writes that after 30 years as a TV and radio news anchorman and reporter, he is now also a consultant in media relations. Rick says, Anyone looking for three decades of experience, please dont go to strangers.
John Pitts writes from Bogota that life never has a dull moment. His work as economic counselor at the U.S. embassy has taken him to Cali and Medellin (he survived), by helicopter to the Emerald Mines of Muzo, and the Lost City of the Tayronas. More importantly, hes also working to revive the Princeton Club of Bogota.
Roger Philips recently moved from Arizona to northern Virginia to take a position as v.p. international at Landmark Systems Corp. Son Matt 97 is studying Japanese politics.
For all you type-As out there who wish (or need) to mellow with age, there is hope. The Washington Post recently ran a story on the difficulties of, and treatment for, perfectionism. Featured in the story was Larry Stupskis tenure as president of Charles Schwab Inc. in San Francisco. Larry is now (happily) described as a non-practicing perfectionist.
