Cliff Ransom continues his plans to create his own government, the Sultanate of Bubastis in St. Petersburg, Fla., Cliff writes that while most of the royal cabinet positions have been filled (grand vizier, court jester, prime minister, etc.), we will be selling mining concessions and ambassadorial posts. Be the first on your block to display an understated brass plaque reading Consul General of Bubastis, issue passports, and offer tax havens. In other words, Cliff says come on down for a visit.
Jacques Bramhall reports he has recently changed jobs, leaving Amerada Hess Corp. after 20 years and joining Del Laboratories, Inc., as v.p., human resources. He and wife Toni are now living on Long Island. Son Jake 90 and his wife, Elaine Morales 90, have produced a grandson, Jack, a candidate for the Class of 2017!
Jan Buck writes that the headquarters for his company, Atlantic Health, are now at One Palmer Sq. overlooking the campus. Jan invites classmates to stop in. He writes, In a reunion weekend jam, my conference room table can accommodate about a sleeping bag and a half.
AMPLIFICATION AND CORRECTION: I neglected to mention that Class of 67 Scholarship recipient Charles Stowell is the son of the Rev. Phil Stowell.
Finally, I had a chance to catch up with Larry Lucchino at his office at Jack Murphy Stadium in San Diego. As president of the San Diego Padres, Larry is hard at work marketing the team south of the border and trying to lure more San Diegans from the beach to the ball park.
