Fortunately the news has started flowing again, and we even have a new baby picture. Samuel Wallace Dyer was born on July 4, 1996, to Gina and Jonathan Dyer. The Dyers have two other children, Alex 95 and daughter Elizabeth (Hamilton 91).
Dean Pope writes that he recently had the honor of the admission of his freshman roommate, Dean Wanderer, to the Virginia Supreme Court. Having retired from the Navy, Dean W. is now adding to the oversupply of lawyers in Virginia.
Charlie McDowell proudly writes that at the opening exercises this year on Sept. 8, his son Luke, an electrical engineering major (Class of 97), received the prize for the highest average in his class for his junior year. He received the same award last year for the highest GPA in his class for their sophomore year.
In other happy news, Ron Grossmans daughter Rebecca was married July 27, 1996. She is teaching in New Orleans, where her husband, Ross, is in his second year at medical school. Both are Bucknell grads, and Ron reports that At least the school has orange as one of its colors.
Peter Delacortes new novel Time On My Hands has an official publisher (Scribner) and an official publication date (June 1997).
Steve Ranney recommends an excellent 50th birthday plan (while recognizing most of us are only looking fondly back at such an event). He chartered a 52-ft. sailboat for a week in the Virgin Islands. A crew of two skipper & mate (cook) sailed Steve, wife Linda, and children Chris (24) and K.C. (21) through the British islands.
Dan Rubinfeld reports that daughter Rachel is now a freshman (Class of 00) and Sarah is a senior (Class of 97).
