Well, the weather was great, even if the Tigers didnt win, but a great turnout appeared for the Harvard game and the class cocktail reception. Among those showing up for our pre-30th bash were Allen Adler, Bloxie Baker, Carl Behnke, Mike Bewley, John Bitner, Jerry Brashear, John Claster, Jim Edmondson, Don Eggleton, Gus Escher, Gene Estes, Gerald Estes, John Fisher, Rich Geisel, Pete Holzer, Ed Hummer, Sam Isaly, Jack Laporte, Bob Lem, Roger Liddel, Ken Logan, Bob Losey, Bill Paternotte, Pepper Pettit, Dick Prentke, Peter Safir, Frank Strasburger, Tim Tulenko, and Tom Tulenko. The turnout and the camaraderie bode very well for our 30th.
Fertility continues to be on the minds of 67ers. Jonathan Dyer and wife Gina are the proud parents of a son, Samuel Wallace Dyer, who was born July 4, 1996; and Bonnie and D. J. Paul became grandparents on Aug. 19, one day shy of their 29th anniversary, as daughter Allison presented them with their first grandson, Cameron Kay MacGregor Nicholas.
Collin Weber reports that eldest son Nicholas graduated with honors in chemical engineering, Class of 94, and is an analyst with Goldman Sachs in NYC.
Jim Edmondson reports that Ellen Morrison, widow of his late roommate Ed Morrison, married John Joseph in Vienna, Va., last May. Bob Cocker, Jim, and John Porters wife, Kathy, attended.
Julian Berman now has a college graduate his oldest, Ben, graduated from Florida Atlantic in May. Ben is looking forward to grad school in international relations after a year earning (hopefully) a few bucks. Son Alex is a junior at the U. of Florida, Sara Beth is a freshman in high school, and son Mark is a seventh grader.
