Gary Anderson, after 25 years as an economic consultant, the last 18 with Stanford Research Institute, resigned his job, career, and profession to purchase British Car magazine, an enthusiast publication with about 30,000 readers that has been in business for 10 years. Gary writes, For me, this was the opportunity of a lifetime to get off the frequent flyer rolls and the consulting project treadmill and do something Im really enjoying. It hasnt been a total change, however, since Ive been involved in British cars and car clubs as hobbies for many years . . . Im still working six and seven days a week, but our offices are only six blocks from home. My wife, Genie, is my chief financial and administrative officer, and we still live in the San Francisco Bay area.
Joel Epstein writes that he is busy traveling in his new capacity managing Chase Manhattans overseas retail banking business. His son, Michael, is attending Harvard (00). Joel says, Bad choice, but todays kids dont take advice from their old parents. Joel says he would love to get in contact with any 67 grads, especially in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Thailand, China, and Mexico.
David Kallick is practicing law with Tishler & Wald, Ltd. in Chicago. Daughter Michelle is a junior at the U. of Arizona, and son Robert was just admitted to Lehigh U.
Dave Blair reports that daughter Katherine is enjoying her freshman year, and son David is graduating from Oberlin this spring. Dave and wife Mary have moved to London for a few years in continuing service for Morgan Stanley, but he hopes to be back for the 30th.
