Frank Strasburger, who for the past 11 years has served as Episcopal chaplain at the university, will step down from his position and assume the presidency of Medical Education for South African Blacks, a foundation on whose board Frank has served for nearly four years and which is deeply involved in the transformation of that nation. From a geographical standpoint, although MSAB is currently based outside Washington, D.C., the Strasburgers intend to continue living in the Princeton area, where Frank will also serve as parish chaplain of Trinity Church.
Peter Turchi writes that he was back at Ohio State for a few days recently, and had lunch with Len Brillson. Len joined the OSU faculty last summer with an appointment as professor jointly in the electrical engineering and physics departments. Previously Len worked at Xerox in Rochester, N.Y. Peter notes that Len has successfully made the same transition from industry to full professor that I did several years ago and now has an office across the street from mine.
Peter Delacortes new book, Time On My Hands, was published by Scribners this spring. The novel is part time-travel fantasy, part romantic adventure, and part literary puzzler.
Jim Evans writes that he is trying to adjust to the revolution in healthcare and feels like he needs an MBA & JD, as well as his MD, just to compete in todays medical marketplace.
Hope you have all made your plans for our 30th. The attendance list is growing and the weather promises to cooperate.
