Reunion Chairman Bob Mayer promises three fabulous days and nights of reunion activities as our 30th gets ready to roar down the track. With music beginning Thursday night at the site, Cuyler/1903, the Grease Band Friday night, and the 250th concert and fireworks, the parade, and music and dancing Saturday night, it should be all our 50+ bones can take. Early sign-ups are too numerous to list, but we all look forward to a great time.
Rick Simonson writes that his family is in the midst of a pretty significant transition: He has accepted a position as senior v.p. and chief investment strategist for John Hancock late last year. The family is moving to Brookline, Mass., this June, and Rick and wife Pats twin sons are entering Amherst and Bowdoin in September. Rick sends his apologies for the 30th as his boys are graduating from Deerfield and Pingry at the same time, but promises to wear his stylish 67 blazer to the ceremonies.
We received a lovely letter from Ted Sun 99, who is the recipient of the Class of 67 Scholarship for this academic year. Ted writes, Im proud to be part of Princetons tradition and am excited about all the opportunities and experiences given to me here. So thank you, thank you and thank you (cant say it enough). Ted is from L.A. and is going to major in psychology with a focus on cognitive studies. He is a sprinter on the track team and has a passionate interest in music.
Speaking of track, Ritchie Geisel writes that its been nearly 30 years since he last outran Frank Shorter and recently defeated him in the Tyler Cup Invitational, a two-mile race for corporate executives held in Dallas.
