Bob Mackin writes that he has had an exciting last couple of years. In 1992 he had a chance to start up a new public high school in Amherst, N.H. In 1994 it was selected as the outstanding high school in New Hampshire, and as a Redbook Best of the States school in 1996. Bob was fortunate to be named Principal of the Year in 1995, and runner up as National Principal of the Year in 1996.
Hobey Birmingham has joined Borland Intl. as v.p. and general counsel as of February of this year. Hobey says, It is a turnaround situation with lots of opportunity and challenging work.
After two years as part of a generalist executive search partnership, Nick Bogard has started a new search firm specializing in financial services. Nick says its good to be back in the downtown Boston financial area. In addition, Nick has relocated from stuffy old Wellesley to fine country life in Dover, Mass.
Kathie and Reed Simmons are the proud parents of a new son, Reed II, last August. Reed believes that he may be one of the youngest children to attend the 30th.
Larry Cheetham reports he has fired up his consulting practice just in time to join Hancock Financial Services in Boston on their Year 2000 computer vigil. For you computer geeks, 1999 plus 1 equals 2000, doesnt it? So whats the problem?
