AFTER NEARLY 25 years as president of Claster Television (his day job other than booking bands for Class of 67 reunions), John Claster, who was quoted in a recent trade publication as being too young to hang it up, is turning the reins over to his sister, Sally, to pursue other opportunities. John has been a pioneer in the area of first-run syndications for childrens television.
James Slocum has become publisher of Model Retailer magazine. Jim remains the editor of the magazine, a position he has held since 1995. Model Retailer is a monthly magazine for the model hobby trade, with a circulation of about 6,400.
I was remiss in not writing earlier about the 1996-97 recipient of the Class of 67 scholarship, Armand Graham 00, son of Dick. In thanking the class for the scholarship, Armand wrote, As a freshman, I have only started to explore the many different possibilities offered at Princeton, from the incredible academics, to the art program, to being able to play on the best lacrosse team in the nation. I aspire to be an architect and therefore I am hoping to enter the Architecture School in my junior year at Princeton. I would like to again thank you (Class of 67) for helping me to enjoy all of these diverse opportunities.
It was good to see two of my old roommates at the 30th. Nick Criss, following a distinguished career as a Navy pilot, is in the commercial real estate business, splitting his time between Mexico City and his home in San Diego. Bill Koch, wife Joyce, and family are living in the Chicago area, while Bill continues trading options in the Chicago Board Options Exchange, although most of his activities are now from his home office rather than in the pits.
