John Delaney reports that he saw Larry Serra when he was in San Diego in June. John, Larry, and Larrys son, Chris 97, enjoyed a Padres game. Johns daughter Beth 94 is a medical student at U. of Texas (San Antonio), and Erin (U. of Texas 98) is captain of the U. of Texas (Austin) equestrian team. John is now in his 13th year as a state district court judge, and says he would like to hear from any other Princetonians on the bench.
Des Barry has been elected to the executive committee of the 2,500-member Intl. Assn. of Defense Counsel, the worlds leading group of civil litigation defense lawyers. Des is one of three executive committee members eligible to become president of the IADC when his current term expires in 2001. Des is a managing partner at the law firm of Condon & Forsyth, where he specializes in aviation, products liability, and insurance litigation.
Peter Cooper apologizes for having missed the 30th, but notes that reading the Class Book was a good substitute.
Bill Stanard was recently hired by the State of Vermont to coordinate the access of all 251 towns in the state to the Internet via the State backbone, dubbed GovNet, to facilitate the new Equal Education Opportunity Act of 1997.
Richard Davidson and wife Judy are in the process of returning to Orlando, Fla., after being in Albany, N.Y., for five years. Richard has taken a position with the Orlando firm of Lowndes, Drosdick, Doster, Kantor & Reed to work with a national lending program of one of the firms major clients.
Ted Gallagher writes that Gary Walters spoke at the Princeton Alumni Assn. of Worcester, Mass., this summer. Ted shares the oft-expressed view that The university is lucky to have Gary as AD.
