THE FINAL 1997 Annual Giving figures are in, and once again our class is one of the highest in terms of participation. In fact, our participation was higher than every class from 58-82 with the exception of 72s 25th and the Class of 63. This record, which has been consistent for many, many years, is a great tribute to our AG volunteers and particularly Mike Wyatt, Bob Grant, and Bob Lem.
Speaking of class giving, the Class of 1967 Scholarships for 1997 are Nydia I. Mancini 99, Elizabeth J. Spigel 99, and Armand B. Graham 00. Nydia is from Puerto Rico and is an English major in the program of comparative context with Spanish literature. She is a member of Quadrangle Club and intends to spend her spring semester in Madrid. Elizabeth Spigel is from New Zealand and is a member of the varsity crew and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee. Armand Graham, also a recipient last year, is the son of Dick Graham, a member of the lacrosse team, and hopes to pursue a career in architecture.
Tom Houston writes he has left the practice of law for the nonprofit world and has become e.v.p. and COO of the Josephson Institute of Ethics.
Dr. Julian Berman and wife Anne write that son Benjamin is now a graduate student at the Elliott School at George Washington U. in international relations; son Alexander is a senior at U. of Florida; daughter Sara Beth is a high school sophomore, and youngest son Mark is an eighth-grader, both at home in Florida.
BALTIMORE-WASHINGTON 67ERS-SAVE THE DATE-FEB. 19 CLASS DINNER AT THE POOKS HILL MARRIOTT IN BETHESDA, MD. THE FEATURED SPEAKER WILL BE STEVE GROSSMAN, CHAIRMAN OF THE DEMOCRATIC NATIONAL COMMITTEE.
