CHANGES. After 21 years in Princeton, Ritchie Geisel relocated in November to L.A. to become president of the Crippled Children’s Society of Southern California. He and Pam are moving closer to family and children and are excited about the opportunity to continue helping people with disabilities realize their potential. The past 16 months have not been the greatest for Jim Avery in Chestnut Hill, Mass. He had a bad fall and messed up his spine, which led to major back fusion surgery and an upper-body brace for three months last fall. Medical miracles don’t happen overnight – at least with backs – but Jim hoped to return to the world of the living by Christmas.

UNCHANGED. Although hard for him to believe, Bob Hall has been with United Technologies now for over 30 years doing research on environmental problems. For the last two years he has been a visiting staff member at Cranfield U. near London. He does a lot of traveling, and on a trip this year to Costa Rica he ran into Brooke Pearson, who, Bob reports, is looking remarkably unchanged. If your yacht exceeds 85 ft., Tom Houston is the man to call (310-399-0850, to be exact). Tom is now president and CEO of the Intl. Seakeepers Society, an ocean monitoring and protection organization for owners of such craft. I measured my single scull and found, to my dismay, that I am about 61 ft. short.

Thirty-five years ago we experienced our first final exams at Princeton, still trying to figure out the 1-to-7 grading scale.
