Redesigned scarf

The Redesigned Women’s Scarf

Ever since the Class adopted our “Clear the Track” motif – drawn from the lyrics of Going Back to Nassau Hall – we’ve offered a women’s scarf accessory that depicts the sheet music for that most famous of all Reunion songs.

We eventually sold out of the original version at the 35th. Yet the idea of a Going Back scarf is so timeless that we have kept it going with a fresh new model this year. We’ve taken the opportunity to brighten the graphics, while keeping the classic song-sheet as the central focus of the design. We also shamelessly inserted more prominent (but still tasteful!) visual references to 1967. The new version is a bit larger overall and comes in a slightly heavier, more luxurious silk fabric. The post-February price is $45.

More Stuff !

The Outfit Order Form is the way to buy new items of Reunion garb being offered this year – the vest or the redesigned scarf. It’s also the way to replenish earlier outfit items that you may have outgrown, worn out, or simply lost. (Start trying to find your train whistle NOW!) Or maybe others in your family just want to add to their own supply of choo-choo doo-dads. Whatever the case, now is the time to stock up.

You can find the Outfit Order Form among the downloadable registration forms, along with the Outfit Info sheet that recaps the various ordering instructions given below.

Almost all ordered items will be held at Reunion Headquarters for pick-up when you arrive. (The exceptions are items needing alterations – i.e., blazer or pants – which will be shipped directly to you by early May.) Some quantities or sizes are limited. If an item you order happens to be sold out, we’ll issue a cash refund for it when you arrive at Reunions.

Special note: Even though the previously-announced manufacturer’s March 1 ordering deadline for having a BLAZER made in your size has now passed, anybody needing one should still send in an order and we’ll see what we can do to fill it. The Class still has some blazers remaining in stock from the 35th. The same goes for ordering PANTS. If your specific blazer or pants size does turn out to be unavailable, Costume Chairman Tim Tulenko will contact you to discuss possible alternatives.

The Class of ’67 Vest

The ’67 VestFor the 40th Reunion, the Class has come up with a new optional accessory to our outfits that’s both practical and colorful. It’s a vest, created in both men’s and women’s sizes. It has front panels tailored out of the same orange-with-black-tracks fabric as our blazers, plus a solid black back.

The vest is a response to requests for a casual alternative to the classmate’s traditional blazer – especially for times when Reunions weather (or the dance floor) gets too hot. Additionally, we’re making the same item available to anybody else attending our Reunion – ’67 wives, dates, adult progeny, guests, whomever. This enables us to boost uniformity in the P-rade by adding to the swath of ’67 fabric on display. Classmates can substitute the vest for the blazer anytime except during the P-rade itself or the Friday class dinner. All others can wear it at any time – and are especially encouraged to do so during the P-rade.

Any vest bought singly costs $35. But “his and hers” vests purchased together cost only $50 for the pair. (To enter this latter deal on the order form, list the man’s item/size on one line at $35 and the woman’s item/size on the next line at only $15.)

Haven’t Been to Reunions Lately?

There’s an even better deal on the vest for any classmate who hasn’t attended Reunions in over a decade. The first 67 guys who haven’t been back since before the 30th will get a free vest. If you fall into this category, welcome back! Just write “Free” in the “Unit Cost” box on the line of the order form where you indicate your vest size.

If you’ve never been back since before the 25th Reunion when we adopted the current PJ&B motif, you’ll need to order a complete outfit. There’s a discount price for this, too – $180. (That’s $35 less than it would cost to buy all the standard men’s items singly.) On the order form, just write “Classmate’s Standard Outfit” and “$180” on a single line within the grid, then go to the special DISCOUNT STANDARD OUTFIT line appearing directly above the grid and fill in there your sizes for blazer, pants, hat, and belt.
